“UNEMPLOYMENT: BURNING ISSUE OF NEPAL”
From childhood to till then I am listening from parents the few slogans that is, “Learn hard to get a better job”. I studied hard and got a good degree but now I am unemployed; a few days before one of my brothers told to me. I read the newspaper a few days before and found 98000 people are fighting for 6000 seats, even it is a good amount of jobs. A few days ago, I took an interview with a person who did MBA in finance for the job of Clark in our company. The reality of the past is totally different nowadays.
The burning issue which the government is facing is not
producing the jobs to their people. Many people are unemployed getting a
qualified degree from the good renown university the reason behind this is due to
lack of job-oriented education. This is only considered for the educated people
but what the situation for the uneducated and unskilled people even we cannot
think. Due to unemployment, the poverty rate is also rising nowadays. As
unemployment increases the criminal activities goes on rising. People need
money to live if there is a lack of money people start to do criminal
activities. The unemployment of youth in a country is directly related to the
per capita income of the nation and the total product consumed and produced.
People are not getting jobs in the
job market as the job market is declining at present. As there is a lack of
companies, production houses and other job-producing platforms then it is
impossible for the persons to get jobs. Education hubs are producing an
educated person in the rapid amount who are not capable of doing any sorts of
education-related jobs. More than 60% of educated people are jobless currently.
Nepal is facing this problem as those who are capable of doing jobs are also not
getting due to which they are forced to leave the nation. Many skilled persons
are leaving the nation in search of quality life and quality job and another
issue of Brain drain are occurring nowadays.
The other reason of unemployment
in Nepal is Nepalese people don’t want to grow agricultural products and they
are leaving the jobs of farming due to lack of proper donations and loans to
the farmers and fulfillment of agricultural production goods. Nepal government
is also not giving the high priority to the startups which provide jobs to
thousands of qualified or unqualified people. Due to lack of improper taxation
and unstable government startups are also not growing popularity.
To solve this issue of unemployment
the government should establish a new scheme in which farmers get benefited as
Nepal is an agricultural country. Startups should be given priority where the
government should provide low-interest loans to these sorts of works and tax
must be very minimum or even free for a few years. Establishment of new
companies, warehouses which provides many jobs to the people. Nepal should go
in the phase of industrialization where maximum jobs are produced. If the
unemployment rate is not minimized within a few years then the coming issues
will be very devastating.
